Wishing for a Winter Wedding

I talked to my mom on Sunday about her and Jerry's recent trip to Big Sky, Montana, where they went on a night-time sleigh ride and stayed in a cabin at the Lone Mountain Ranch. It sounded like such a great experience, and between that and my growing restlessness about our (seemingly) never-ending engagement, I have found myself thinking how cool it would have been to get married during the winter instead of next summer.

I think wedding photos in the snow are so beautiful, don't you think?

And a destination wedding in Big Sky would be an awesome excuse to get everyone together in a snowy locale. Look how gorgeous Moonlight Basin looks at night with fresh snow. You would have agreed to meet us here, right?

And how fun would it be to wear a slinky ivory wedding gown with a soft, luxe fur shrug like this one?

Or this one (by Jenny Packham):

With lots and lots of statement pearls.

And as a late-night treat at the reception we could offer a hot chocolate bar...

Yum! What would you put in your hot chocolate? I made some the other night with Frangelico and Bailey's... even better than peppermint martinis!

  1. BETTER than peppermint martinis?!?!?! whaaaaaaaattttttttt?????????/

I want to get married in the snow and have a white dress with a brown fur muff on my hands (that sounds dirty, but it's not, I swear).

Love the winter pictures, but you can only have one wedding in one season, and summer it is. ;) Time is going to go by faster than you think, kara!

  3. Yes, Blaire--way better! I'll make you some next time you're up :)

And, Lesli, I am happy to help! But seriously, you really need to do this. Consider this my RSVP to your Big Sky winter wedding!
